In response to community protests TCI recently undertook a consultation program to facilitate the construction of a site in Southern Sydney for one of our clients. Local residents took issue with the design of the facility and quickly rallied support from the wider community and local Members of Parliament (MP). The client ceased construction in order to address the community's concerns. TCI developed and implemented a comprehensive strategy to resolve community concerns, the result being a win-win situation for the community and the client.

The strategy involved revising the design of the facility and addressing the community's concerns about Electromagnetic Energy (EME). The consultation tools included an introductory letter box drop, discussions with local primary and pre-school representatives, preparation of various design options and photomontages, facilitating a public meeting, discussions with local MP's, and a final letter box drop tying up loose ends. At the end of the program the client was able to complete construction while maintaining its good corporate image.
