A sensitive and unobtrusive installation was required for the heritage listed Sydney Harbour Bridge. This installation is an active optic fibre distributed antenna system. TCI negotiated with the Roads Authority on behalf of three carriers the scope of works for the site. The project was designed with consideration for the bridge's heritage status. The installation was successfully coordinated with the Roads Authority with no resulting interruption to traffic. Pairs of back-to-back antennas were fixed to the overhead signalling structure over the road deck between lanes 4 & 5. The BTS equipment, located within the southern pylon, is some 600m from the northern antennas. To link the subsystem to the BTS, a fibre link was run under the road deck to an Optic Fibre-RF Converter at each antenna location.

All antennas and fixings were colour matched in accordance with the planning requirement.

TCI installed cabins for both Optus and Vodafone. The BTS equipment was installed prior to the crane lift inside the bridge pylon.
